INSIDE

LATHOM HALL

Lathom Avenue  Seaforth  Liverpool L21

Once a Cinema..

The 'Lathom' is now a live music venue ready to take it's rightful place in becoming a superb major new player in Liverpool's Beatles visitor attraction's from 2011.

In the lobby..

Marilyn Monroe                                      Jame Dean

Laurel & Hardy

Because the Lathom was once a cinema the art-deco memorabilia

is another huge attaction all it's very own.

The Simpsons

"Hey! Watch-out where you're pointing that thing boy.."

The Lathom Hall original stage area is now The Beatles Bar.

A quiet drink before the action starts..

The upper balcony view is very special too..

Thursday Evening is Mersey Rats night.

1 admission and you get see the original Merseybeat musicians still strutting their stuff. The sessions are by guesting on the night. Get your name down early if you want to play. A thirty minute set with some great pro's is the norm' But just one song is okay too. Bring your axe or a pair of drum sticks or just sit back and be transported back to the sixties for few hours..

Far right: Faron of The Flamingos run's through the verse's and chorus of a song he will sing later on stage as a Mersey Rat member.'Jamo'-Dave Jamieson - on the left - is a great Mersey Rats organiser whilst the talented guitarist Dave Morgan is also your chief sound engineer.

Dance floor view from The Beatles Bar looking towards the main entrance..

Wall pictures and murals abound..

"Dincha hear me? I said... Move that microphone boy!"

..and finally!

"This pic tells its own story. On this table is a bass guitar still in it's carry case to be opened and played later. Just behind it are three other items, viz: A flask, a glass containing orange juice and a clear plasic bag - containing sandwiches. It is 7: 30 in the early evening and these goodies belong to Faron of Faron's Flamingo's -

Whey-hey Faron! What-ever happened to rock 'n roll?

"Seriously, we know you haven't been too well lately Faron,

but it's great to see you're still out there and hacking it.."

All the best from LANKY BEAT
