"As a TV engineer I drew up a wiring plan on the back of this late 1960's early 1970's band picture. I was to build a lighting rig from scratch which would work off a 13amp plug - which I did!
I have recently discovered the pic amongst my many bits and pieces of stuff about bands from the era. Although they are with the L.E. Agency. I haven't a clue where the pic came from or who these guys are.. Maybe a Lanky Beat reader might know?"

"I was lead singer of Currency and in the pic above I am pictured at the bottom of the pile of handsome young men. We hail from Burnley and Hasslingden in east Lankyland. Above me are John Oddie RIP: Keyboards, Peter ?: Drums, Michael Caine - yes really: Lead Guitar and 'Lester'? on Bass Guitar. A short life span between 1970 -72 saw the band playing all the top northern venues which included The Wigan Casino etc. and some lesser-known places like the Dolphin Club in Colne."
